FAQ

Short answers to the questions we get before and after installing. For the full list of what the app cannot do, see Limitations.

Who can restore a deleted issue?

Jira site administrators, from Jira settings → Apps → Recycle Bin. Project administrators and other users do not see the app page.

Can I restore an issue that was deleted before I installed the app?

No. The app only knows issues it has mirrored: from Jira events after the installation, or from the initial load. An issue deleted before that never reached the mirror.

Why did a restore skip a field?

The restore copies the fields that exist on the project's create screen. A field that has been removed since, or a value that no longer exists, such as a deleted component, is skipped and named in the restore result. Attachment files and the issue history are never restored.

Does the app send my data anywhere?

No. The app runs on Atlassian Forge inside your site, declares no external network permissions and keeps its copies in the Forge storage of your installation. Keelbits cannot read them. See Security for the details.

What happens when I uninstall the app?

Uninstalling removes the app's storage from your site, including the trash and every mirrored copy. A reinstall starts with an empty mirror; run the initial load again.

What happens while the subscription is inactive?

Nothing is saved: no mirroring, no cleanup, no restore. Issues created or changed in that period are not in the mirror. After a renewal run the initial load again.

How long does the initial load take?

About one request to Jira per issue. On our test site 1,101 issues with about 3,100 comments took 8 minutes. The load runs in the background; you can close the page.

Can I restore a deleted project?

No. Use Jira's own project trash: Jira Cloud keeps deleted projects for 60 days.

Does the app work on Jira Data Center?

No. Issue Recycle Bin is a Forge app for Jira Cloud only.
